BEFORE YOUR SHOOT:

Shoot prep:

There is nothing better you can do for your shot then get a good amount of sleep before hand and be well moisturized....lips and skin. Chapped lips and flaky skin do not show up well on camera...in fact it only enhances them. So beg, borrow or steal some mostuirzer, so you look beautiful, glowing and healthy.

Make-up:

I get a lot of questions about make-up....so here's my advice...I do not insist upon you having your make-up professionally done like some headshot photographers, but I do recomend it, plus it's one less thing for you to worry about on the day of. Having your make-up professionally done can add that extra level to your photo that sets it apart from the others.

I do have a make-up artist that I work with who does wonderful work, will stay with us the entire time to alter looks, and help with hair. Her rates start at $100 per session.

Or, if you want to go the more economical route, or are only shooting 1 look, the salon Blushington  does a great full face of camera-ready make-up starting at $40. And they are only a 10 minute drive from where we will be shooting.
